Every day people look at illustrations.  There are illustrations in books, on the Internet, in newspapers, brochures and other types of materials.  Illustrations are used to clarify a point or add to text.  During your research you will learn that some illustrations are very detailed and complex, such as the illustrations in a medical journal whereas others can be fun and simple such as an illustration in a children's picture book.

During your research you will identify a type of illustration you want to complete and begin thinking about your project.
